JackShaft

There are three pulleys and two sprockets stacked on the Jackshaft. With the Dia, RPM and HP for each pulley and sprocket known we can calculate the required pulley Dia and I assume something similar for the sprockets.

  • Jackshaft Driven Pulley Dia 93″. This is the follower pulley driven off the 32″ Dia engine pulley.  With the resulting 0.727 pulley ratio this reduces the 250 engine RPM to 80.65 RPM for the Jackshaft and all the pulleys and sprockets.
  • Power to WCBE Driven Pulley 32″
  • Crusher Belt Elevator Drive Sprocket Dia 20″
  • Crusher Drive Pulley Dia 80″ – this has to be able to transmit 45 hp at 80.65 RPM
  • Wet Coal Elevator Belt Drive Sprocket  Dia 32″.
